"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." — Matthew 9:37
Men called to be "tongues" of the Holy Spirit for indigenous peoples
The Servants of Pentecost seek Catholic men who feel drawn to a life of total consecration to God through the three evangelical counsels — poverty, chastity, and obedience — and who are willing to devote their lives to the preservation, development, and sanctification of indigenous languages as an act of evangelization, justice, and inculturation.
A sincere desire to seek God, docility to the Holy Spirit, devotion to the Eucharist and Mary, and a heart open to the marginalized.
Aptitude for languages, love of learning, openness to new cultures, and the discipline required for rigorous linguistic study.
Emotional stability, capacity for friendship, resilience, and the ability to live in community with men of diverse cultures.
Readiness to be sent to any part of the world, to learn any language, and to commit to decades-long presence in indigenous communities.

"Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth."
O Holy Spirit, who on the day of Pentecost enabled the Apostles to proclaim the marvels of God in the tongues of all peoples, raise up from every nation men who will consecrate their lives to the service of indigenous languages and the Gospel of Christ. Through the intercession of Mary, Queen of Pentecost, and Saint Josephine Bakhita, patron of liberation, we ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
